BRICS has had ten partner countries since June 2025
BRICS leaders created a second tier, the partner country, at their summit in Kazan in October 2024. A partner takes part in BRICS meetings and joint work but is not a full member. Eight countries became partners on 1 January 2025. Two more were admitted during Brazil's chairship later that year, the second in June 2025, which made ten. India's chairship in 2026 added none. Indonesia was named among the first partners in December 2024 but became a full member in January 2025, so it is not on this list. Saudi Arabia is not a partner either: it was invited in 2023 to join as a full member.
Name them all first. Then try the harder part: the eight that became partners on 1 January 2025, and the two that followed later in 2025.
