Ceteris Admissions · Year 12 Early Starter
Four things that strengthen an Oxbridge, LSE or UCL economics application and can’t be crammed in Year 13: wide reading, the maths behind the TMUA, thinking aloud under pressure, and a piece of work of their own.
Already bought it? Open the pack.
By the time applications open in Year 13, the strongest economics applicants have already done a year of reading they can talk about, made the maths behind the TMUA automatic, and practised working through problems they haven’t seen before. The Year 12 Early Starter gives your son or daughter that year, in about two hours a week.
The Early Starter is the first of two seasons. From July 2027 we will offer you the Year 13 Applicant Pass (£199) or Applicant Pass with AI Interviewer (£299), with all progress carried over. Nothing renews or charges automatically.
One payment. Nothing renews.
Includes the £79 Essay Competition Pack.
One-off payment, charged when you order. Nothing renews. Payment is taken by Stripe. Sold by Luke Masom trading as Ceteris, hello@ceteris.app. Terms · Privacy. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian should make the purchase.
Luke Masom is a Cambridge economist and admissions coach who has spent six years helping students apply for economics degrees. He went through the Cambridge Economics interview himself.

For Oxford and Cambridge, applications close in mid-October of Year 13, and the TMUA can be sat that October. That leaves the summer after Year 12 as the last long stretch to prepare. Students who start in Year 12 arrive at Year 13 with the reading, the maths and the practice already done.
About two hours a week, in blocks that fit around school.
Any competitive economics course, with particular attention to Cambridge, Oxford (Economics and Management, PPE, History and Economics), LSE and UCL, where admissions tests, interviews or both are part of the process.
Not yet. Timed mocks come in season two, once the full A-level maths syllabus has been covered. Year 12 builds the foundations they rely on.
Parents and guardians buy it for students in Year 12; the student uses it on their own account. Buyers must be 18 or over.
