The Big Four accountancy firms

Name the Big Four accountancy firms

Four accountancy networks audit nearly nine in ten of the UK's largest listed companies

The Big Four is the label that the Financial Reporting Council and the Competition and Markets Authority use for the four accountancy networks that dominate the audit of large companies. In 2024 they audited 87% of FTSE 350 companies by number and earned 98% of FTSE 350 audit fees. In the UK each trades through a member firm of a global network. The label is used to separate them from every other audit firm, a group that held 13% of FTSE 350 audits in 2024. Before 2002 there were five firms of this kind.
