Every president of the European Commission

Name every president of the European Commission

Thirteen people have been President of the European Commission since 1958

The President of the European Commission leads the EU's executive, the body that proposes new laws and acts as guardian of the treaties. The office began in January 1958 with the Commission of the European Economic Community, which in July 1967 became the single Commission shared by all three European Communities. Thirteen people have held it since. Luxembourg has supplied three of them, and the United Kingdom one, in the late 1970s. Only one has been a woman. The current President began a second term in December 2024.

Name them all first. Then try the harder part: the Presidents before the first enlargement in 1973, from 1973 to 1995, from 1995 to 2014, and since 2014.
