BRICS doubled from five full members to ten in 2024 and 2025
BRICS had five members until 2024. Four countries joined as full members on 1 January 2024, and a fifth on 6 January 2025, which took the bloc to ten. One more country, Saudi Arabia, was invited in 2023 and appears on some listings published by the BRICS chair, but its own government has never clearly confirmed that it has joined. It is the unresolved case, and it is not counted here. Nor are the partner countries, a lower tier created at the Kazan summit in October 2024. Argentina was invited as well, but its new government declined in December 2023.
Name them all first. Then name them in two groups: the original five, and the five that joined in 2024 and 2025.
