How to play

One economics question a day. Guess which country is the answer.

• Normal mode: each wrong guess shows the distance, a closeness %, and an arrow pointing toward the right country — all measured from the centre of each country rather than its capital, so a guess of Russia is measured from Siberia, not Moscow. Green is hot, orange is warm, red is cold — the same three colours as the squares in a shared result.
• Hard mode: no geographic hints — work it out from the economics. Tap Economics hint for a clue about the country's economy.
• You have 6 guesses. Then we reveal the answer — and the surprising economics behind it.
