Three countries belong to the USMCA, the agreement that replaced NAFTA in 2020
The USMCA is a free trade agreement between three neighbouring countries in North America. It came into force on 1 July 2020 and replaced the North American Free Trade Agreement, NAFTA, which had linked the same three countries since 1 January 1994. Each member gives it a different name: the initials change with the order in which the countries are listed and with the language. No country has joined or left since 2020, and by 1 October 2026 none had given notice to withdraw.
